MIKE DEAN continues to be in the limelight despite officiating in the Championship rather than the Premier League.
The official dubbed as the ‘celebrity ref’ added to his catalogue of errors at Oakwell on Saturday night during Barnsley’s 3-2 win over Leeds United.

Spectators were left stunned when the 48-year-old gave a penalty for hand ball – which took place OUTSIDE the penalty area.

Leeds striker Chris Wood was tussling with Barnsley defender Marc Roberts before the ball hit the latter on the hand.
Wood stepped up and converted from the spot to make it 3-2 – making it a very nervy end to the match for the hosts.
Leeds were not able to complete the comeback but if they had, Dean’s decision would have come under even more scrutiny.
