Barcelona table final offer for Paulinho but refuse to pay £35m Guangzhou Evergrande release clause
BARCELONA have stepped up their interest of summer target Paulinho with a final bid for the Brazilian midfielder.
The Chinese Super League side Guangzhou Evergrande have reportedly received an offer that exceeds £26m, but this still does not match the player’s release clause.

Barca’s new boss Ernesto Valverde has put his final offer on the table in a bid to secure his primary summer target, according to Sport.
Paulinho carries a £35m release clause, which the Spanish giants are currently failing to meet.
Mundo Deportivo recently reported that the Guangzhou coach Luiz Felipe Scolari had removed Paulinho from training due to a lack of focus ahead of the Barcelona deal.
However, the former Brazil national team manager was quick to quash these allegations.
The La Liga giants had a bid of £17.6m aggressively rejected by the Chinese side’s owner last month, who was upset by the manner of the prososal.
The former Tottenham midfielder has been in a rich vein of form under the management of Scolari, helping to fire his club to Asian Champions League and two Chinese Super League titles.
