LIONEL MESSI is the big dog on the pitch but he is very much overshadowed by a hound at home.
The Barcelona forward and his partner have shared photos on social media of his Dogue de Bordeaux at various stages since purchasing it as a puppy.
And in the latest family snap Messi’s partner Antonella Roccuzzo posted to her Instagram account, it’s clear to see the astonishing rate at which the animal is growing.

The pooch is pictured relaxing on the sofa, as Messi and one of his sons stroke it, while another one of his sons perches on the furniture.

Messi and Antonella knew each other as children, when they were growing up in Rosario, a lower-middle class city about 185 miles north-west of Buenos Aires.
They now have two children and two other dogs besides the giant pooch.
