A SPANISH amateur footballer has awoken following 17 days in a coma after his mum sang the Sevilla anthem to him.
The incredible story of Francesc Peralta was documented by TV show El Chiringuito.

Peralta, who is a Barcelona fan, suffered a trauma on the brain following a serious collision during a match for his amateur side Mequineza Club Deportivo, who compete in the regional Catalonia league on January 21.
Three brain operations were required to save his life and he was then placed in a coma.
And, 17 days later, he wok up as his mum was singing “El Arrebato”, which is the anthem of La Liga side Sevilla.
El Chiringuito posted a video-documentary of the events following the accident.

Touched by the story, Sevilla tweeted: “Hairs standing up with this story.
“Francesc Peralta, we wish you all the best with your recovery and, of course, you are invited to hear our anthem live when you recover.”

In the video, Peralta’s father revealed the incident occurred when his son was tragically — and completely accidentally — hit on the head during a corner after 20 minutes of the match.
He insists his son was “born again” as he regained consciousness after 17 days in a coma.

He explained that they put on El Arrebato, which his mother hen began singing, before Peralta miraculously opened his eyes,
Peralta revealed that, despite being a Barcelona fan, Sevilla’s anthem is his favourite, and perhaps that is why his body reacted.
Various Spanish celebrities, including Sevilla player Jesus Navas, sent him their well wishes via video message.
And Peralta admitted the former Manchester City star’s message left him feeling overwhelmed and speechless.
