Barcelona boss Luis Enrique crashed his bicycle on way to side’s 7-0 Champions League drubbing of Celtic

LIONEL MESSI helped lift Luis Enrique’s spirits after the Barcelona boss crashed his bike before the 7-0 drubbing of Celtic.

The Argentinian magician netted his SIXTH Champions League hat-trick in the crushing Nou Camp win over Brendan Rodgers’ Scots.

But fans were left wondering why the Barca manager was seen celebrating each strike with a large bandage on his right elbow.

Enrique, 46, is a fitness nut and regularly cycles to and from Barca training, as well as competing in Ironman competitions.

And Catalan daily Mundo Deportivo reports that he scraped his elbow when he fell off his bike just hours before kick-off.

Enrique is not thought to have picked up any further injuries in the accident.

And the former midfielder was delighted as his side never had to get out of second gear to comfortably down the Scottish champions.

Neymar netted Barca’s third, to add to FOUR assists, as Andres Iniesta and a Luis Suarez double completed the rout.

Enrique will now prepare for the weekend’s trip to newly-promoted Leganes before a crunch home clash with title rivals Atletico Madrid next Wednesday.
