MUTAKAYYEF struck gold in the Ganton Stakes as he led home a 1-3 for owner Hamdan Al Maktoum.
The five-year-old finally added to his maiden win after a frustrating run of placed finishes with the returning Muwaary running on well to take third.

Sovereign Debt finished second between the two Hamdan Al Maktoum runners.
For Mutakayyef, it was his first run since being gelded and that seemed to make all the difference.
Representing owner Hamdan Al Maktoum, Richard Hills said: “He’s been gelded and has just taken time to come to hand.
“Pat gave him a lovely ride and he came there cantering and did it nicely as it looked a good race.
“We’ll all have a chat about targets. Even though he had good form to his name he’d only won a maiden.”
He added: “Muwaary has also run a nice race because he’s had no end of problems – if they were all as brave as him the game would be easy.”
