ROGER FEDERER enjoyed another straightforward victory to move into his 52nd Grand Slam quarter final.
The reigning champion recorded his fourth straight-sets win of the tournament by beating Hungary’s Marton Fucsovics 6-4 7-6 6-2.

Fucsovics put up a good fight, especially in the first two sets, but did not have the weapons to threaten Federer.
The Swiss showed was not thrown off by having to play in the daytime for the first time in the event – although he seemed unsure of how he would use his free evening with wife Mirka.
Federer said: “We might go for a nice dinner if she’s in the mood.
“She’s left already…she’s got other plans.
“Marton played very well. I had a hard time to break through until I was two sets to love and a break ahead.
“It was a tough match until then.”

But not that tough. Federer did not give Fucsovics a single break point to look at and never seemed in danger of slipping up.
Federer will play Tomas Berdych in the quarter finals on Wednesday, an encounter which will bring back happy memories of his triumph last year.
It was in his third-round clash with Berdych 12 months ago that the Swiss master’s game really clicked for the first time after his comeback from six months out injured.
Federer said: “It’s nice to see him back.
“I’m happy for him that he’s through his back issues.
“We had a good match…or I had a good match against him last year. I’m sure he now wants to do it the other way round and pay me back for that.”
Berdych was also a comfortable winner, overcoming Italy’s Fabio Fognini 6-1 6-4 6-4.
