At The Races presenter Hayley Moore the hero at Chepstow as she catches loose horse despite getting dragged to the floor

HAYLEY Moore should be getting a pay rise.

The At The Races presenter sent social media into a frenzy on Tuesday by dropping the mic and running off to catch a loose horse at Chepstow.

Moore saw the danger as the loose horse was charging towards her at 35mph and amazingly grabbed the reins as the horse flew past her.

Not only did she get smacked in the face and dragged to the floor, but the heroic presenter still kept a tight hold on the reins.

Moore then coolly got up and helped unsaddle the loose horse.

The presenter than carried on with her day job like nothing had happened, turning her attention to the winning jockey to get his thoughts on the race.

She joked: “He gave me a clump there but I just couldn’t bear to see it go out on another lap so I thought we’d go for it!

“They’ll have to put the divot back in! Lucky it’s on the jumps course so there’ll be time before the jumps season commences here.”

Keith Ottesen, clerk of the course said: “I thought it was a hell of a tackle! She was brave – too brave, really – but luckily she was fine.

“It was one of the best tackles I’ve seen in Wales. We wouldn’t normally advocate that sort of thing, but we all know where Hayley comes from.”

After one furlong of the Bet And Watch At 188bet.co.uk Handicap, the David Evans-trained Give Em A Clump stumbled and unseated his rider Fran Berry.

At the conclusion of the race, the horse came haring down the track with several people diving out of its path. However, Moore showed nerves of steel to stand in its way.

Hayley is the sister to top-class jockey Ryan with her dad Gary a racehorse trainer.

Her experience around the equine powerhouses clearly came into action to make her miraculous catch at Chepstow.
