AN Australia fan used the pool deck at the Gabba to propose to his girlfriend while wearing budgie-smugglers – and the moment was beamed live around the world.
Brave Michael Langridge decided the time was right to propose to Tori Roebuck while he was wearing his skimpy trunks watching day two of the First Ashes Test in Brisbane.
"Mate, where should I propose to my girlfriend?"
"Why not in the pool at the Gabba during in the Ashes? Oh, and make sure you're topless!"
"Say no more."

The 27-year-old could hardly have been more exposed as he popped the question poolside in Brisbane as play went on behind him.
For not only did he ask the question in full view of the fans packed in watching Australia take on England, the moment was captured live on television around the world.
Luckily for Michael his beaming girlfriend had no hesitation saying yes, to the delight of all those in the pool who were in on the moment.
Michael said: “She’s a total catch! I can’t believe I get to spend the rest of my life with her.
“I bought the tickets three or four months ago. We’ve both bonded over the cricket and it has helped us through some tough times in our life.
“I’ve been walking around in budgie smugglers all day, just to get in here.

ASH BASH Punches thrown as mass brawl breaks out in stands during England’s Ashes clash
The pool-deck at the Gabba has become one of the most sought-after places to watch cricket since it was introduced last year.
Around 150 supporters get the chance to watch the action pitchside while relaxing in the pool and on loungers, and this is the first time it has been used in the Ashes.
Spotters are positioned around the stadium to search out for the best costumes or most deserving fans who are then invited onto the deck.
