Non-League’s skillful starlet Jamal Lowe has caught the attention of a number of clubs in the Football League during his time with National League South side Hampton and Richmond Borough.

The forward possesses huge potential and has this season torn up England’s sixth tier with 15 goals.

Last season he helped fire the Beavers to the Isthmian League Premier title but has already surpassed last year’s goal tally of 14.

But things haven’t always been going so well for the 22-year old. He was spotted by Barnet playing for Farnborough and then signed for the Bees.

Just 13 appearances including eight in their relegation season from the Football League saw him shipped out on loan to the likes of Hitchin Town.

He eventually signed for St Albans before joining Hampton and his impressive performances have already seen him snapped up by League Two promotion chasers Portsmouth, who he’ll join in January.

LEE ANGOL

Now leading the line for Peterborough in League One, 22-year old Lee Angol’s career was almost over before it all started.

The former Tottenham trainee was released from White Hart Lane in 2012 and went on to join Wycombe Wanderers.

Just three appearances for the Chairboys saw him get sent out on loan to the likes of Hendon and Maidenhead United on loan.

Angol joined Luton on a free but never made an appearance for the first team and began considering dropping out of the game altogether.

But one loan to Boreham Wood, his second spell at the club saved his talent.

In the 2014/2015 campaign in the National League South his 25 goals fired the Wood to promotion and the Posh came calling.

He had 11 goals to his name last term and has returned in the last month from a serious injury picked up in the summer.

DAYLE SOUTHWELL

A youth product at Grimsby Town, Southwell made over 40 appearances for the Mariners starting ten, but he scored just three goals during his three years in the club’s first team.

Eventually he moved on aged 21 to National League North side Boston in a bid to re-start his career at a lower level.

The forward’s time with the Pilgrims could not have gone better with over 50 goals in just two seasons at York Street.

In the Summer of 2016 the lethal striker signed for League Two’s Wycombe to get his foot on the Football League ladder.

He scored his first goal in September – the winner in a 1-0 victory over Stevenage, but he was forced off with injury in the same game and hasn’t appeared since.

But he is now sure to be even more determined to take the league by storm.

Dagenham striker Oliver Hawkins has turned heads this season with 12 goals in the National League.

Now aged 24 he began his career at 17 with Combined Counties League side North Greenford United before heading to the Spartan South Midlands League with Hillingdon Borough.

At 19 he joined Southern League side Northwood where he bagged 34 goals in 90 appearances, earning him yet another move to Hemel Hempstead Town, winning the league title in 2014 to earn promotion to the National League South.

Three years with the Tudors eventually saw him turn professional with Dagenham and now he’s showing the ability to go further once again.

He may not have had a head start, but Hawkins is certainly making up for lost time.

OMAR BOGLE

Grimsby forward Bogle is just 23 but has already caused a lot of damage for sides in non-league and is doing the same in the Football League.

His youth career began with West Brom in 2007 before heading across the West Midlands to Birmingham.

He featured for the reserves aged just 16 before moving north to sign for Scottish giants Celtic.

Although he featured for the Under-19’s he left to peruse first-team football in 2012 and eventually dropped down to Hinckley in March, coming in to replace Andre Gray – who left to begin his journey which now sees his football played in the Premier League for Burnley.

Bogle left in the summer of 2012 for Solihull Moors in the National League North and stayed there for three years, scoring over 60 goals and earning an England C cap.

He joined Grimsby in the summer of 2015 scoring 13 goals as well as twice at Wembley in the play-off final and the goal in the semis that sent them there.

So far this season he tops the League Two goal charts with 16.
