With pressure mounting on the French boss, 67, Guy told the Mirror he fears the worst for Arsene.

He said: “I feel sympathy for Arsene. The situation is not good for him. But it is his problem, not mine.

“I was not in Munich for the match, I watched on television. I don’t know if Arsenal can come back now.”

Big brother Guy never pursued a career in football, instead spending the last 42 years running his family's car parts business in Alsace.

However, he claimed he was arguably the better player of the two adding: “I taught him everything he knows.

“Who was the better player? Ask him about my technique, I say nothing.”

Guy and Arsene are still close to this day, despite the Arsenal boss spending the past two decades in north London.

They even run through the Alsace forest whenever the Gunners chief is back at home.

Wenger may have plenty of time on his hands for family catch-ups in the summer, with the axe drawing ever closer.

However, the French boss is adamant he will still be managing next season, whether at Arsenal or elsewhere.

He claimed: “No matter what happens next season I will manage, whether that’s here or somewhere else.”
