But his claims were quickly shot down by former top ref Howard Webb at half-time of the North London derby.

The Gunners took the lead when Kevin Wimmer nodded past his own keeper on 42 minutes.

And Wrighty reckons it should not have counted because Alexis Sanchez was offside.
Fellow BT Sport pundit Rio agreed with him as the pair put their views to Webb.
They were then left confused by Webb’s explanation – but the Yorkshireman was insistent the right calls were made by ref Mark Clattenburg for BOTH of the first two goals.
Webb explained: “The way the law is written, Sanchez doesn’t commit any offside offence.
“He doesn’t make any action that impacts on Wimmer’s ability to play the ball.

"The only player is Laurent Koscielny, and Eric Dier’s playing him onside.
"So even though he just goes to make an attempt for the ball at this point (Wimmer’s header), that would be an action that is an offside offence – but Koscielny is not offside.
"The only player that goes for the ball is Koscielny. Sanchez is the only player offside but he has no impact on Wimmer’s ability to play the ball.
"I sympathise with the defenders but the referee has to give the goal under the ways the laws are written."
Former Manchester United and England defender Ferdinand wasn't having it though.

He hit back: “As a defender, I can feel the body there so I’ve got to react because otherwise he might not be offside.
"You know there’s two players there behind you and you cannot make a decision. You presume he’s onside. You can’t take that risk him heading it in the back of the net.”
Webb also thought the Clattenburg's decision was spot on to award Spurs a spot-kick for Koscielny's challenge on Mousa Dembele.
He added: "Is it a foul? Yes. Is it soft? Yes. Is it a penalty? Yes."
