Arsenal transfer news: Mesut Ozil in shop window but Gunners are struggling to find a buyer

ARSENAL are reportedly trying to drum up interest in Mesut Ozil.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has admitted he could be forced to sell the German and fellow contract rebel Alexis Sanchez in January.

And The Mirror reports Emirates chiefs haven given up on getting Ozil to agree terms and are looking to find him a club.

Team-mate Sanchez, 28, is wanted by Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola to complete his attacking puzzle.

But Ozil’s mammouth wage demands have put off a number of clubs, although Inter Milan have expressed an interest.

The playmaker, 29, is chasing a £330,000-a-week package, which would smash Arsenal’s wage structure.

He is no longer a guaranteed starter for Wenger after a sluggish start to the season.

Ozil came off the bench with Arsenal leading 1-0 against Watford and had little imapct in an eventual 2-1 defeat.

A perceived lack of desire is reportedly starting to create rifts in the dressing room – making attempts to find a buyer more crucial.
