The 28-year-old recently fuelled speculation of an exit away from the Bundesliga in the winter transfer window.

He said: “I have not renewed a contract.

“In the winter market a lot can happen, also for me.”

Sanchez was a summer target for the Citizens, and Pep Guardiola will look to link up with him again, especially as Gabriel Jesus has been rocked by knee injury.

But Aubameyang – who lost out to Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah to be named as African Footballer of the Year – is not on Arsenal’s radar.

When asked whether the Gabon international is a potential target, Wenger simply replied by saying: “No, that is not a possibility.”

While the Frenchman also added that he wants Walcott to stay at the Emirates, despite him being a peripheral figure in North London.

The 28-year-old is being chased by former club Southampton, while Serie A side AC Milan is also a possible shock destination.

But addressing the rumours, Wenger stressed: “I want him to stay.

“I heard about [a possible exit] but I want him to stay.”

Walcott is yet to start in the Premier League, and has been restricted to just five substitute appearances.
