Arsenal striker Lucas Perez wanted by rivals West Ham this summer as he looks to leave in search of more football
WEST HAM have inquired about signing unsettled Arsenal striker Lucas Perez in the summer.
The Spaniard, 28, only joined last summer in a £17million deal from Deportivo La Coruna – but has made just two starts in the Premier League since.

Slaven Bilic’s Hammers are not in danger of relegation, but have lacked a distinct cutting edge in front of goal this term as they sit bang in mid-table.
Their top scorer is Michail Antonio on nine goals – and he is usually deployed on the wing, or even at right-back.
Lucas Perez has reportedly already had enough of life at Arsenal having been frozen outReuters
And according to the Times, Bilic is a fan of Perez, who has not done too badly when he has scored six goals and created five assists, usually in the Champions League or FA Cup.

And the Hammers’ boss thinks Perez could become available in the summer amid uncertainty about boss Arsene Wenger and the desire to rebuild their strike force – with the likes of Alexis Sanchez set to leave.

But despite the Spanish forward’s lack of game time, Arsenal appear to want to keep Perez as they rebuffed a £26m offer in January from a club in the Chinese Super League.
So Bilic knows his target will not come cheap, despite him not being the world class striker Arsene Wenger perhaps hoped when he signed him.
It also raises questions about the future of injury-prone Andy Carroll, who has also scored six time this season but always seems to be on the sidelines and has interested China as well recently.
