Arsenal’s £35m man Granit Xhaka risks wrath of Arsene Wenger as he trains with Kosovan club FC Prishtina in country of his parents

GRANIT XHAKA is supposed to be taking a break from all things football after Euro 2016 and with a gruelling Premier League season ahead.

But with a visit to his homeland the new £35million Arsenal signing could not resist lacing up his boots and having a kickabout in Pristina.

Xhaka and brother Taulant have regularly made trips to Pristina in past summers and shown off their brilliant skills.

Granit, 23, is set to take the Premier League by storm this coming term after starring for Borussia Monchengladbach last season.

He will also bring some much-needed grit to the Arsenal midfield – after being booked 13 times and sent of three times last term.

Xhaka also met up with a group of Kosovan fans in Gunners shirts, who could not resist a selfie with their idol.

During Euro 2016 he missed a penalty in their shootout defeat to Poland – and had his shirt ripped to shreds when Puma’s dodgy material failed to keep it together in France.
