NEW Arsenal striker Lucas Perez has conceded that he expected more of a “starring role” after signing for the Gunners in the summer.
The 28-year-old forward is a proven scorer who is composed in the final third, his 17 goals during the 2015/16 campaign represented over a third of Depor’s total for the season.

Perez then made his first European appearance for Arsene Wenger’s side in midweek, playing 28 minutes off the bench in the 6-0 rout over Ludogorets.
But the Spaniard has admitted he thought he would have had more first-team opportunities.
He told Spanish radio station Onda Cero: “When I first arrived here I expected to have more of a starring role.

"The team-mates that are playing in my position are doing a great job. We have won seven games in a row and, at the end of the day, the coach wants what is best for the team.
"I had hoped to have more playing time, but what I have to do now is make the most of the opportunities I get."
