Arsenal Christmas fixtures: How the Gunners’ Premier League schedule compares with their rivals

Arsene Wenger will hope his side can maintain their strong start to the season but bad results against either Everton on Manchester City could put the Gunners on the wrong foot ahead a busy Christmas schedule.

Arsenal have won two of their last five meetings against City, only losing once, with the other two encounters ending as 2-2 draws.

A fact that will encourage Wenger is the that his side have only lost in their last five meetings against Everton.

They won their last three meetings but lost 3-0 before drawing to the Toffees 2-2 in 2014.

But something that must be considered is Wenger’s previous struggle against current Everton boss Ronald Koeman whilst he was in charge of Southampton.

Saints got the better of the Gunners three times during Koeman’s reign on the south coast out of their five meetings.

And with Southampton recording a thumping 4-0 victory on December 26 in 2015, Wenger will hope his side are more prepared for this festive period coming up.
