And amongst those wrapped up warm was Sanchez who has recently returned after seeing friends and family in the French capital for Christmas.

But some Arsenal fans still believe it is because the Chilean contract rebel is sorting out his move away from the Emirates.

Sanchez is expected to leave in the summer but looked to be concentrating on his training despite the cold.

Many players like Alexandre Lacazette and Mesut Ozil covered up with snoods and pretty much every player was sporting gloves.

Ozil has been the Gunners standout player in recent months despite speculation surrounding his future.

And he will need to be on form against Palace as the Gunners can go level on points with bitter rivals Tottenham in fifth with a win.

And Arsene Wenger’s men have a tough month coming up with Chelsea in the league and Carabao Cup as well as Nottingham Forrest away in the FA Cup third round.

The Gunners were downed 3-0 in front of angry away fans at the end of last season and will be hoping for a more successful night on Thursday.
