And the trend is set to continue for the final two home games of the season with the club top brass seriously concerned as they review the Frenchman’s position this summer, claim the Daily Mail.

The thousands of regulars who have stayed away are season-ticket holders, so their absence is not hitting the club in the pocket, but it does damage the club brand in front of a worldwide TV audience.

Long-term, there are fears the poor attendances will have a knock-on effect on the club’s commercial value.

It also highlights the increasing number of Arsenal fans wanting Wenger to end his reign in North London, with some of the club hierarchy also wanting the 68-year-old to leave this summer.

Despite the chance of winning the Europa League, the Gunners could still finish behind Burnley who can move up to sixth with a win against Chelsea at Turf Moor on Thursday.

And Arsenal’s summer plans could be thrown into turmoil if they finish seventh.

The club are set to confirm plans to tour Singapore, with their first game, potentially against Atletico Madrid pencilled in for July 26.

However, a seventh-place finish could mean they would need to play in the Europa League second qualifying round during the tour, leaving them with an issue over which players to take to Asia.
