Wenger’s side ran riot at the Emirates, with Alexandre Lacazette, Nacho Monreal and Aaron Ramsey finding the net.

But the focus remained on the Frenchman, who has already been linked to French club Paris Saint-Germain.

When asked about his future, he said: “I don’t know.

“At the moment my focus is where it’s all been, my loyalties to this club until the last day I’m here.We will see.”

Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis insisted earlier this week that the 68-year-old will always have a place with the North London club.

But Wenger again admitted that he didn’t know if he would ever return after ending his 22 year spell in charge.

“We have built a history and a solid foundation.

“If you looked at the club when I arrived I think we have gone a good way together.”

Arsenal have earmarked Nice boss Lucien Favre as Wenger’s potential successor at the end of the campaign.

Patrick Vieira was reportedly in the running, but the Gunners legend ruled himself out of the role after admitting he was happy at New York City FC.

Arsenal all-time top scorer Thierry Henry has indicated interest in the soon-to-be vacant role at the Emirates.
