ARMED cops are on high alert in Las Vegas to prevent a Barcelona-style lone-wolf terror attack ahead of the blockbuster fight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather.
Police are stepping up patrols in the city as hundreds of thousands of fight fans descend on the famous hotels, bars and casinos.

Up to 10,000 Irish and Brit supporters of UFC champ McGregor are due to arrive in Sin City for the eagerly-awaited clash at the T-Mobile Arena.
The car-ramming terrorism in Barcelona and Cambrils, which left 15 dead, has fuelled concerns of a copycat attack.
The Mirror reports there will be increased patrols on the Strip and the T-Mobile Arena, while more than 5,000 hotel staff will be asked to report any suspicious behaviour.
Sgt Jeff Clark, from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, told Mirror.co.uk: “We are constantly evaluating the ever changing world climate and learning from events, such as Barcelona and London.
“There will be a very visible police presence."
He revealed they are staffing more than 100 special events, most of which are related to the fight, and hundreds of off-duty officers are working overtime.

The Las Vegas force also has a counter terrorism centre, staffed 24-hours a day, which operates and monitors hundreds of cameras.
Sgt Clark urged fans attending the fight to speak out "if something doesn’t look right".
Fight fan Shaun Marlow, 32, from Leicester, told the Mirror: "It’s a high-profile target after all, so we’re trying to keep our wits about ourselves.”
Hundreds of steel posts are already due to be installed along the famous Strip in October to prevent a truck attack, according to the Mirror.
