Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp could be about to change that statistic.
River Plate’s Gabriel Mercado was watched by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp
The Argentine international appears to be on Klopp’s wanted list as he revamps his squad over the summer.
And Mercado’s versatility will certainly appeal to the German.
Mercado, who plays for River Plate, is a right-back by trade but can also play in central defence or the right side of midfield.
Klopp has also taken time to watch the 29-year-old in action.
