But the title-winning boss will now speak to chairman Roman Abramovich over a new contract and the Telegraph report that they expect him to sign.

The 47-year-old currently has a contract at Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2019 but his extension will see a hike in his wage packet to around £9.6million-a-year.

It will make him the club’s highest paid manager in history following his instant Premier League success in his debut season.

Conte is expected to be handed a £200m warchest to improve his squad this summer but Abramovich wants reassurances that the manager won’t break the club’s transfer strategy.

Juventus wing-back Alex Sandro remains one of his top transfer target but they have been knocked back with a £52m bid.

Conte is also in need of a striker as they look to get a deal for Romelu Lukaku over the line.

Alvaro Morata also remains on the radar of the manager.

Chelsea are also expected to complete a deal for Monaco’s midfield enforcer Tiemoue Bakayoko but Conte may have to remain patient to land his signings.
