Jean-Baptiste Salvaing, a senior police officer,  was stabbed repeatedly in the throat and stomach at his home in Magnanville, 30 miles west of Paris.

His partner Jessica Schneider, was also murdered in front of the couple's three-year-old son.

Alballa, 25, waited for the couple to return home on 13 June, hidden behind a gate.

Salvaing at first escaped and shouted to neighbours to call police but the Jihadist caught up with him and repeateldy stabbed him in the stomach.

He then went into the house and held Schnieder, 36, hostage, as well as the couple's son.

Tactical squads surrounded the house, cutting off the power.

Police attempted to negotiate but after that failed they stormed the house - Abballa was killed but they also found Schneider dead after being stabbed in the neck.

The son was alive but in shock.

Griezmann met with Hugo after scoring twice in the last-16 victory over the Republic of Ireland, presenting him with a match ball.
