Anthony Joshua vs Wladimir Klitschko: Twitter reacts to the worst Gloves Are Off in history…and fans aren’t happy
ANTHONY JOSHUA may the most exciting heavyweight on the planet, but his Gloves Are Off special with Wladimir Klitschko left fans looking for the remote.
The two boxing giants meet each other in the centre of the ring at Wembley Stadium on April 29 with the IBF, WBA and IBO belts on the line.
Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko bored fans in their Gloves Are Off interviewSky SportsThe Brit star is the current IBF world heavyweight champion, having beat Charles Martin last yearSky SportsThe veteran fighter comes into the clash as an underdog – he hasn’t fought since he lost a unanimous decision against Tyson Fury in November 2015Sky Sports
Fans were left outraged in the interview, as the two showed too much respect to one another, failing to get supporters excited for the blockbuster clash.
There was to be no infamous handshake pull, no intense stare-down or no tables thrown at the other.
Instead the pair laughed, joked and even fist bumped throughout – playing the hype of the fight down.
Klitschko’s most threatening remark was: “If you win, I will congratulate you, when you lose, I will help you come back.”
While Joshua commented: “When I win , he will congratulate me, that’s how I’m going to leave it.
“I’m going for the knockout, that’s what i do.”
