Anthony Joshua can earn £50million per fight as he targets bouts in CHINA and the US with aim of eclipsing Floyd Mayweather as the world’s richest boxer
ANTHONY JOSHUA can rake in up to £50million per fight if he spreads his superstar status across the Atlantic, claims Eddie Hearn.
Hearn said: “Mayweather was a phenomenon in terms of the money he made. All this billionaire stuff, it’s a lot of money.
“But if he boxed on pay-per-view in America as well as here, then you can start talking about 30, 40, 50million a fight – and he could have 20 fights left.

“Mayweather wasn’t necessarily global money, it was more American pay per view money.

Hearn plans not only to take IBF, WBA and IBO heavyweight champion Joshua to America but to China too.
He added: “If you have to pick up a mandatory defence, like Pulev, which isn’t appealing to the UK, that’s the one you go and do in China, America or the Middle East.
“China is a real possibility, definitely. We’ve already had discussions. My dad’s just done a big snooker deal out there for ten years. There’s definitely money out there.”

He insisted:"Can I ever see a time that it will be Ali, Foreman, Holmes, Joshua? Nah.
"They didn’t give Klitschko the respect he deserves, you know what I mean. I just try and keep some distance from it and stay in my own lane.
"As long as I’m happy, that’s what matters, I’m not perfect, but what I do, I do good.
"I’ll keep improving on it and if that’s good enough to get me through in boxing, then I’ll be satisfied. I know I can get better."
