ANTHONY DAVIS bagged the MVP award as the Western Conference beat the Eastern Conference 192-182 in the NBA All-Star game on Sunday.
The New Orleans Pelicans star put on a show in front of his home crowd to finish with a record-setting 52 points – ten more than the next best set by legend Wilt Chamberlain in 1962.

The win saw a combined 374 – which broke the record for most points in an All-Star game, set last year on 369.

One of the main talking points was set to be the reuniting of former team-mates turned enemies Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant, however the pair played just 82 seconds together under Steve Kerr.
In a game utterly devoid of defence, Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo was the shining light of the Eastern Conference, notching 30 points.

The Greek Freak – as he is affectionately known – put on a dunking masterclass, with superstar Stephen Curry even lying on the ground to avoid an incoming jam from Giannis in one hilarious moment.
Three-time NBA champion LeBron James had 23 points in the losing effort for the East.
One star watching the game – in the middle of the night – was Manchester United star Paul Pogba.

The French, £89million midfielder celebrated his key role in United’s 2-1 FA Cup win over Blackburn by donning a James Harden Houston Rockets jersey to watch the entertaining affair.
He captioned his message on social media: “Watching the guys put on a show tonight from a distance, go James my MVP!”

Another football star on display on the evening was Brazil ace Ronaldinho.
The former Barcelona legend has been in New Orleans all week and has been snapped with Eastern stars Giannis and LeBron.
