First and foremost, the expose reveals the staggering amount of money Paris Saint-Germain are willing to part with in order to win the title.

That honour goes to PSG defender Thiago Silva, who earns close to £1million per month – at £920,000.
Manchester United flop Angel Di Maria is the second-highest paid footballer in France, raking in over £750,000 per month, ahead of Uruguayan star Edinson Cavani and Thiago Motta on £671,000.

Rounding off the top ten is Swansea's on-loan forward Bafetimbi Gomis, raking in £352,590 per month across the Channel.
