Andy Murray reveals he IS fit enough to defend his Wimbledon crown after recent injury scares and slip up during training
ANDY MURRAY has shaken off injury fears and now claims: I’m fit enough to win Wimbledon again.
Murray insists that he has recovered well enough from his hip problem not only to make it to the opening match on Centre Court today but also to claim a third SW19 title.

The world No 1 said: “I’ll be fine to play the event and play seven matches.
“Things can happen obviously when you’re playing. I mean, players have got injured during tournaments.
“But as I am now, I’d be delighted and have no issues getting through.
“If necessary, I can take some anti-inflammatories if my hip flares up. Hopefully that’s not the case.”
Murray’s defence of his first Wimbledon title ended in quarter-final defeat by Grigor Dimitrov in 2014.
But the Scot, who kicks off against Alexander Bublik, said: “I’m a little bit more experienced, a bit older now. Hopefully I’m able to deal with things better this time round.

Britain’s No 1 female player, Jo Konta, has also recovered sufficiently from a back injured suffered in a heavy fall to start her Wimbledon campaign today against Hsieh Su-wei.
Konta, who raised fears about her participation in SW19 when she pulled out of her Eastbourne semi-final on Friday, said: “It’s definitely better. I practised today. I felt good.
“Like Andy, I’d like to think that I’m fit enough to play seven matches, but I’m going to be taking it one at a time.”
