ANDY MURRAY has fired the first shot ahead of his Qatar Open final against Novak Djokovic, roaring: Bring it on.
The recently-knighted world No1, 29, has had a good start to the 2017 season, reaching the final in his first tournament after a storming 2016.

As well as almost single-handedly dragging Great Britain to a famous Davis Cup win, Murray also won his second Wimbledon title and Olympic gold in Rio, before snatching the world No1 status in December.

Djokovic meanwhile, struggled mightily in the second half of last season, failing to win a single tournament from July onwards, as well as losing in the third round of SW19 to Sam Querrey.
Yet the pair – as is so often the case – will square up for yet another final, after the Serbian world No2 battled hard to save five match points and win his semi-final clash against Fernando Verdasco.

And ahead of the showdown, Murray was in confident mood, saying in a Facebook post: "That final feeling...
"Bring on tonight. Can't wait to get out there. #herewego #QatarExxonMobilOpen"
Murray has beaten Jeremy Chardy, Gerald Melzer, Nicolas Almagro and Tomas Berdych - all in straight sets - to reach the final in Qatar.

Meanwhile, his opponent Djokovic has toppled Jan-Lennard Struff, Horacio Zeballos, Radek Stepanek and Verdasco - dropping just the one set en route to the final.
Murray will be keen to get his first tournament win of 2017 on the board and exert his dominance over Djokobic early, with only 730 rankings points separating the pair.
To put that in perspective, last year's Wimbledon runner-up Milos Raonic sits third, a whopping 6,960 points behind Muzza in first.
