And both have been injured after those respective fights, Khan having hand surgery which kept him out of the ring for the rest of last year, while Brook suffered a fractured orbital bone.
But Khan told Sky Sports: “Kell Brook is coming off a loss to Triple G where he went up a weight and I did that too against Canelo.”
Khan said he is willing to face Brook even if he loses to promising contender Errol Spence Jr on May 27th.
He added: "So I think it makes sense for us to fight now. He's got Errol Spence next and if he wins that then it's a title fight but I think it's a big fight without a title - I think it's one that fight fans want to see."
