Alexis Sanchez subject of eye-watering £400,000-a-week offer from Chinese Super League while Arsenal new deal waits

ALEXIS SANCHEZ is the subject of an eye-watering £400,000-a-week offer from China – while talks over his Arsenal future are in stand-off.

The Chilean wants to become the Gunners’ top-paid player but Arsene Wenger’s side cannot match that sort of cash.

Sanchez would be the Chinese Super League’s biggest coup to date, report the Mirror.

Arsenal want to extend the forward’s deal, which has 18 months left to run, and the big-money Far East offer is being used as a bargaining tool.

Yesterday SunSport told you how Sanchez and team-mate Mesut Ozil want to be paid the same as Manchester United’s Paul Pogba.

Sanchez is happy living in London and it is thought a new contract would see him bag around £200,000-a-week.

That would be an extra £70,000 a week on what he already earns and, according to the Mirror, he is driving a “very hard bargain” in trying to get his demands met.

Juventus are also in Sanchez’s radar while Manchester City have denied their interest.

It is not clear which club in China have offered Sanchez's representatives the deal.

Wenger earlier this week admitted to being a bit naive when it came to dealing with players' contracts.

Sanchez, who has scored 13 goals this season, is in a strong bargaining position and is claimed Arsenal may try to cash in on him next summer rather than run his contract down.
