Sanchez’s penalty in the first leg 5-1 defeat was his 12th in the competition — and the return was his 44th appearance.
His first came with Barcelona, when he scored two in a 3-1 last-16 victory at Bayer Leverkusen in 2012.
And he added another in a 2-0 group stage victory over Benfica a year later — before going the entire next campaign without scoring.

After moving to the Emirates, his tally shot up with four in his first season, before adding three in each of the subsequent two.
Vidal’s first Champions League goal came at Stamford Bridge, when Juventus came from 2-0 down to claim a draw against holders, Chelsea, in 2012 — the season AFTER Sanchez had made his bow in the competition.
In the 2013-14 season, he scored five — including a hat-trick in a 3-1 victory over F.C. Copenhagen — as the Bianconeri exited at the group stage.

At Bayern, he has scored two in each of his two seasons with the club.
Given Arsenal fans’ tendencies to cling onto goal of the month polls, the highest number of assists and ‘victories’ of any kind — this will hurt!
And the worst part is, Sanchez may have to leave the North London club just to add to his tally.
