AFC WIMBLEDON are at the centre of an FA probe after “disgusting” abuse was directed at Charlton manager Karl Robinson by a volunteer member of their groundstaff.
The Addicks boss exploded after hearing the vile remarks, believed to be about his 10-year-old daughter, on the pitch following the 1-1 draw in League One on Saturday.

Robinson, who was a target after managing Wimbledon’s bitter rivals MK Dons for six years, had to be held back by both players and coaches and he was still seething during his post-match interview at Kingsmeadow.

Robinson said: “There are certain aspects of it that were disgusting and should never be allowed.
“We get stick and it is part and parcel of the game but when an employee says what he said it shows their class as a human being. Then he walked away.

“Maybe he will be the big hard-man in the pub but he will forget he walked away. I can’t say what he said. You would be appalled. He knows what he said.
“There is a lot of hostility behind my relations with my former club. I laughed at one or two things, but something was said that I am shocked by.”

Charlton were also furious after an X-rated banner about Robinson was unfurled towards the end of the match.
Robinson also confirmed that the club were aware of allegations of coins being thrown by the visiting supporters at an assistant referee.
