The 22-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford in recent times.
He spent last season on loan at Sunderland after a loan spell at Borussia Dortmund before that.
Januzaj was also left out of Man United’s squad for their summer tour of the United States.
Jose Mourinho’s men will face MLS sides LA Galaxy and Real Salt Lake before taking part in the International Champions Cup.
The Red Devils face rivals Man City as well as Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid in the US this summer as they prepare for the new season.
Man United’s first competitive game will be the Super Cup against Champions League winners Real Madrid on August 8.
