AARON LENNON has spoken publicly for the first time after being sectioned under the Mental Health Act – and says it is “great to be back after a difficult period”.
The Everton winger tweeted an upbeat, five-paragraph message, stating: “I’ve had a good first week of training and can’t wait to kick on now.”

Lennon, 30, thanked fans, clubmates and the “general public” for their “incredible” support.
And he urged anyone who has psychological issues to talk about their problems.
He praised staff at the Priory and added: “There is amazing help out there now.”
The former England and Tottenham pace ace has not played since February.
He was sectioned after police picked him up near a motorway in Salford on April 30.
Lennon was taken to hospital after reportedly negotiating with officers for 20 minutes.
Everton later confirmed that Lennon was being treated for a “stress-related illness”.
He is now back in full training – and has publicly thanked his team-mates for their backing.
